University and Industry Consortium

TechAccel CEO and co-founder Michael Helmstetter Ph.D. will participate in the 2019 Conference of the University and Industry Consortium.

The event will be held Oct. 15-17, 2019, at the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center in St. Louis.

The Consortium members are universities, agricultural companies, associations and government agencies. Participants are leaders within the domestic and global agricultural community.

Founded in 1922, the Consortium has a mission to assist its members, participants in the domestic and global agriculture economy, in achieving success and sustainability in a changing social climate and global marketplace. The Consortium focuses on issues of population growth, sustainability, water, climate change, energy, food science, health and safety and new and emerging technologies.

Michael will participate in a panel on Wednesday, Oct. 16, addressing "Food and Agricultural Startups and Innovation." His co-panelists will address business models and licensing, and Michael will speak on "Bridging the Valley of Death." Other panelists will speak about Benson Hill Biosystems and the St. Louis startup community.
