Randy Kerstetter, Ph.D., joined TechAccel in March 2025, bringing experience in managing teams and projects for biotechnology Fortune 500 companies as well as in academic research environments.
He previously worked at Vertex Pharmaceuticals Inc., Boston, MA, as director of nucleic acid analytics. Prior to that, he spent nine years with Bayer Crop Science (formerly Monsanto) in St. Louis.
Before joining Monsanto, Randy was an assistant research professor at Rutgers University and Waksman Genomic Lab head.
Randy received his Ph.D. in Molecular and Physiological Plant Biology from the University of California, Berkeley. He also holds two Bachelor of Science degrees, one in Chemistry and Biology and the second in Microbiology, from the University of Washington, Seattle.
