Cortney Mendenhall is a shareholder at Polsinelli, where she represents business clients through all aspects of their life cycle. 

As an attorney focused on the life sciences sector, Cortney has significant experience representing clients in the human health, animal health, and biosecurity industries. In that regard, she works closely with the other groups within the firm to provide fully integrated representation to her clients. 

Cortney has more than 15 years of experience representing companies in
corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, licensing, and other strategic transactions.

She often advises companies with respect to:
• Entity selection, formation and structuring
• Negotiation of shareholder and buy-sell agreements
• Negotiation and execution of initial and subsequent rounds of equity financing
• Negotiation of licensing agreements, technology transfer agreements, material
transfer agreements, employment and consulting agreements, services agreements, clinical trial agreements, development agreements, joint venture agreements and other commercial agreements
• Structuring and negotiation of exit transactions

Cortney graduated from the University of Missouri with a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in 2001 and with a JD in 2005. She served as note and comment editor on the Missouri Law Review. She was admitted to the Missouri Bar in 2005.
